History

Our family has owned horses since December, 1992.

Leslie has taught able riders since 1995.

We sent a horse to the 1996 Paralympics in Atlanta & volunteered as workers, aiding in horse care & rider needs.

We attended the Special Olympics State Horse Show from 1996-present working with riders having various needs.

We have been individual members of the NARHA since 1993.

We have volunteered at A.C.O.R.D. (American Competition Opportunities for Riders with Disabilities) shows since 1998.

Leslie has attended three Special Olympics Coaches Training classes, specifically for coaching equestrians & is an Advanced Equestrian Coach.

Leslie worked at the Special Olympics World Games in Raleigh, NC & was responsible for two riders and their horses.

Jacobs' Ladder became a Member Center in the NARHA in January, 2000.

In January 2000, there were only 14 other therapeutic riding centers recognized in the state of GA.

Leslie has successfully completed her Registered Instructor Certification from NARHA
