We cannot hold a torch to light another's path without brightening our own

"I observed a young man, who went from scared of the pony to riding it, even though it took
2 years to accomplish! Everyone, & I mean everyone, from his school mates, teachers & volunteers, cheered & clapped. What a win! The heart of a horse and the smile of a child is a combination that cannot be beat. That is what keeps me coming back for more!"
What attracted me most about Jacobs' Ladder is how wonderful the environment is. Mrs. Leslie is so kind and loving, the volunteers are caring, the horses do amazing things, and all of the riders are absolutely incredible! Not only do I see so many remarkable outcomes but each individual breakthrough for our riders is just simply unbelievable!
I remember the first horse-show I volunteered at, one of the riders, who you rarely ever saw smiling, was so captivated in the show. He had a huge grin on his face and he ended up getting a blue and red ribbon and was just so genuinely happy and proud of himself.
I've been volunteering for 2 years now, and my favorite horse is Honey!
I was originally attracted to Jacobs' Ladder for a school requirement I had to do. Through
my weeks of working and volunteering for Jacobs' Ladder I realized I didn't want to stop
volunteering. I have been volunteering for about five months now and I enjoy every moment
I am there. My favorite horse is Dodger. He is very sweet and will always accept attention. All
in all, Jacobs' Ladder is a big family and everyone is accepted.
